Hunter Origins — Where the Saga Truly Begins
Before Wolf and Flame…
Before the Titan’s Core…
Before cultivation became structured into the thirteen Paths we know today… there was the Alpha Initiate— the first mortal chosen to ascend the Tower.
His name? Hunter Leocedes Filo.
Not a hero. Not a prodigy. Not even someone the world expected to survive.
But he was the spark that lit the entire lineage of cultivators.
The Boy Who Shouldn’t Have Made It
Hunter was born in a forgotten backwoods region— a mix of ancient Gretian grit and Spartan survivalism. He grew up poor, sickly, overlooked, and saddled with a name he refused to use because of the trauma tied to it.
To the villagers, he was nothing special. To himself, he was a disappointment.
But to the world? He was a fuse waiting to be lit.
He earned the nickname “Hunter” not because he was skilled… but because he kept failing, learning, failing again, and always, somehow, getting back up.
He had:
a chronically ill sister he’d do anything to protect
insecurity buried beneath stubborn determination
a knack for stumbling headfirst into danger
just enough grit to survive when he absolutely shouldn’t
Hunter didn’t seek greatness. Greatness, ironically, kept tripping over him.
The Day Everything Went Wrong… and Right
His life derailed in an instant:
Death cultists
A corrupted medallion
A sentence of forty years on Death Island
And shattered dreams with no family left to fall back on
Fate should have broken him.
But instead? He stood up. Again.
At eighteen, Hunter defied every expectation and crashed the Trial of Worth, a sacred test reserved for cultivators far above his level.
That act of defiance caught the attention of a rogue deity: Claude — the God who would raise the Tower.
The Rise of a New Cultivation System
Claude didn’t choose Hunter because he was strong. He chose him because Hunter was impossible to extinguish.
Claude established the new Initiate system, he named Hunter “Alpha,” the first of thirteen.
The path Hunter forged through instinct, struggle, and sheer refusal to die became the blueprint for each of the following cultivation paths.
Assigned to an impossible mission, Hunter must travel across space and time to collect the other initiates, if any of them want a chance at immortality.
His first recruit?
Bravo — He Xiangu, a fierce divine warrior whose era predates most written mythologies.
